Dr. Miskew

Dr. Miskew is currently the senior physician at Midwest Orthopaedics, having been with the practice since 1980 (when it was still known as Kozikowski & Whitehead). He was born and raised in Windsor, Ontario, Canada. He earned his undergraduate degree at the University of Windsor, and earned his M.D. at the University of Ontario. He is married and has two children.

After a residency at Wellesly Hospital in Toronto, Dr. Miskew did further postgraduate work at Harper Hospital in Detroit, Michigan, and Queen's University Hospitals in Kingston, Ontario, finishing his orthopaedic residency at McGill University in Montreal. He served as an instructor in Orthopaedic Surgery at Northwestern University and as a Clinical Assistant Professor at the University of Illinois and was an Attending Orthopaedic Surgeon and Deputy Chariman for Orthopaedic Surgery at Cook County Hospital in Chicago, Illinois before moving to Kansas City in 1980. He has also served as Chairman of the Orthopaedic Section at the former Humana Hospital in Overland Park and at Shawnee Mission Medical Center.

Dr. Miskew is a member of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons (AAOS) and is Board Certified in Orthopaedic Surgery. He sees patients at our Shawnee Mission office.
